BuyerBenchmarks

About Buyer Benchmarks

We publish what things cost. Prices, feature standards by tier, and the range a fair quote falls inside, across software, services and equipment.

Who runs it

Buyer Benchmarks is a three-person research team. We came out of procurement and category management, where the hardest part of a purchase was never the demo. It was finding out whether the number in front of you was normal.

TV

Thea Varga

Research director

Eleven years in procurement and category management before founding Buyer Benchmarks. Sets the sampling frame for every report.

MR

Marta Reiss

Software analyst

Covers software pricing: seats, usage meters, tier gating and renewal terms. Keeps the published-price archive.

NO

Nils Oyedepo

Services and equipment analyst

Covers quoted trades and equipment finance. Collects contractor quotes by metro and normalizes the scopes.

Funding and independence

Reader subscriptions and licensed reprints pay for the research. We take no vendor sponsorship, no affiliate commission and no payment for placement in any table.

  • Vendors cannot buy coverage, placement or a preview of rankings.
  • Analysts hold no equity in companies they cover and accept no gifts, travel or hospitality.
  • Licensed reprints are sold at a published rate card and never alter a figure.
  • If a vendor funds a custom study, it is published separately and labelled on every page.

Data standards

  • Published prices only. Every figure comes from a public price page or a written quote we hold.
  • Sources are dated. Each price carries the date it was read, and each report carries its collection window.
  • Sample sizes are published. Provider counts, quote counts and metro coverage sit at the top of every report.
  • Corrections are logged. We fix errors within five business days and keep the change visible on the report.
  • No estimates dressed as data. Where a figure is modelled rather than observed, the table says so.

Questions about a figure go to admin@buyerbenchmarks.com. Read the methodology for the collection process.
